Prinsessa AB, with its registered office at Valhallavägen 137, 115 31 Stockholm, Sweden (“Prinsessa”, “we”, “us”, and/or “our”), which can be contacted at hello@prinsessa.com, provides services that include: the Prinsessa AI companion mobile and web applications (the “Apps”), the informational website prinsessa.com (the “Website”), and other related offerings (collectively, the “Services”). In providing the Services, we process personal data as data controller.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use, and share your personal data through our Services. References to “you” or “your” mean users of our Services who are 18 years of age or older.
We care about the protection and confidentiality of your personal data. When you use the Apps and during your conversations with your Prinsessa companion, you may provide your personal data. We process this information only as described in this Privacy Policy, to allow you to have individualized and meaningful conversations with your companion and to allow your companion to learn from your interactions to improve your experience. We may also use information about your visit to our Website to promote our Services, but we will never use or disclose the content of your conversations for marketing or advertising purposes.

1. What Personal Data We Collect
A. Information You Provide
Through your use of the Services, you may provide us with the following information:
Account information. This includes your name, email address, password, and unique identifiers including country, timezone, and device information. If you choose to log in using a third-party service such as Google or Apple, we receive information about the service you used and, depending on your account settings with that service, details such as your name, email address, or unique user identifiers.
Profile information. We ask you to provide your birth date and relevant preferences when you create an account.
Messages and content. This includes the messages you send and receive through the Apps, including information you may share about yourself or your life, and any voice and text messages you provide.
Interests and preferences. You may select conversation preferences and communication preferences. We also learn about your interests and preferences over time through your use of the Services to personalize your experience.
Payments and transactions. When you make purchases through the Services, our third-party payment processors collect your payment information. We maintain a record of your purchases and the features you select.
You must not share, transmit, or otherwise provide personal data of third parties through the Services without appropriate consent. You should also avoid sharing special categories of personal data through the Services, such as data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, health data, biometric data, or data concerning sexual orientation. Should you disclose such information, you do so at your own discretion and are solely responsible for ensuring any relevant third parties are appropriately informed.

When you use our Services, we collect the following personal data about you, your device, your network, and your interactions with our Services:
Device and network data. This includes your device’s operating system, manufacturer and model, browser, IP address, device identifiers, language settings, mobile carrier, and general location information such as city or geographic area.
Usage data. This includes information about how you use the Services, such as your interactions with the Services, the links and buttons you click, and pages visited.

2. How We Process Your Personal Data
A. Use of Your Information
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
Operating and administering the Services. Providing and maintaining the Services, creating and managing your account, facilitating payments, responding to inquiries, and managing our relationship with you. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
Providing personalized companion functionality. Enabling individualized conversations with your companion, allowing your companion to learn from your interactions to improve your experience, and syncing your history across devices. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
Improving and developing the Services. Aggregating, anonymizing, and analyzing data to improve service performance and safety, including using anonymized portions of conversation data to improve our AI systems and safety measures. The anonymized data is used only internally. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in improving the Services.
Protecting the Services. Preventing fraud, misuse, and ensuring the security of our systems and infrastructure. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in maintaining a safe and trustworthy service.
Marketing. Sending you commercial information about our Services that we believe may be of interest to you. Legal basis: your consent, provided at registration.
Legal compliance and enforcement. Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, and defending against legal claims. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
B. Sensitive Information
In your conversations with your companion, you may choose to share sensitive information, such as information about your health, religious views, political opinions, or other personal matters. By providing such information, you consent to our processing of it as described in this Privacy Policy. We will not use the content of your conversations for marketing or advertising purposes.
If you do not wish us to process sensitive information, please do not share it. You may request deletion of information you have provided as set out in Section 7 below.
3. With Whom We Share Your Information
A. Service Providers
We share your personal data with trusted third-party service providers who provide services on our behalf, such as hosting, customer support, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it for the purposes for which it was shared.
We use AI technology to power our companion services. Our AI technology providers supply the underlying technology only. All personal data and conversation content remain within our controlled environment and are not accessible to third-party AI model providers.
B. App Stores and Payment Providers
We share information with application store providers (Apple, Google) and payment processors (Stripe) for the purposes of managing subscriptions, payments, and resolving user-initiated disputes or refund requests.
C. Professional Advisors
We may share information with lawyers, auditors, and other professional advisors where necessary in the course of the services they provide to us.
D. Authorities and Others
We may share information as required to comply with law enforcement or governmental authorities, or as we believe in good faith to be necessary for legal compliance and protection purposes.
E. Business Transferees
We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale, or other disposition of all or part of the business or assets of Prinsessa AB.
4. How We Secure Your Information
We use industry-standard security technologies and procedures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. All transmitted data is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS encryption. Stored data is maintained on secure servers protected by firewalls, role-based access controls, and passwords.
Your account is protected by a password of your choice. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. While we use reasonable efforts to protect your personal data, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. In the event of a security breach, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
5. Where We Store and Transfer Your Information
Prinsessa AB is established in Sweden and processes your data within the European Economic Area where possible. To deliver our Services, we use trusted third-party service providers who may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your data is processed in accordance with the GDPR or equivalent applicable legislation. If you are located in California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). For all other jurisdictions, we comply with locally applicable privacy and data protection laws to the extent required.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
Contract performance: we retain profile information, messages, and preferences for up to 60 days after termination of your account. Account information and financial records are retained for a minimum of 7 years after termination, as required by Swedish accounting law.
Consent-based processing: we process your personal data until you withdraw your consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
Legal obligations: we retain data for the duration prescribed by applicable laws.
Legitimate interests: data collected for analytics and service improvement is retained for the minimum period necessary and deleted within 1 year of collection. Other legitimate interest data is retained for the duration of the contract and any additional period required to protect our legal rights.
All data associated with your account is permanently deleted when you delete your account.
7. Your Rights and Choices
A. Opt-Out of Marketing Communications
You may opt out of marketing-related emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the communications you receive or by contacting us at hello@prinsessa.com. You will continue to receive service-related communications.
B. Sensitive Information
If you choose to provide sensitive information in your conversations, we will use it only to facilitate your experience as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not want us to process such information, please do not provide it.
C. Personal Information Requests
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
The right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
The right to erasure of your personal data where we no longer have a lawful basis to process it.
The right to restrict our processing of your personal data.

If you are located in the EEA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) at imy.se, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
D. Right to Erasure
You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at hello@prinsessa.com or by deleting your account directly within the Services. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
8. Use of Prinsessa by Minors
The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We use active age verification measures to ensure users meet this requirement. If we discover that a minor under the age of 18 is using the Services, we will promptly block their access and delete their account. If you believe a minor has provided personal information through our Services, please contact us at hello@prinsessa.com and we will take appropriate action.
